Easter is less than a week away, and I’ve noticed scads of homeless peeps around. Kasey at One Girl Talks has the solution, build bird houses for them. I thought this was a great idea, so I decided to build a house for a peep.
To make a peep birdhouse you will need to begin with graham crackers and frosting.
Kasey suggested using candy grass for the nest inside, but I couldn’t locate any, so I made do with this candy instead.
My nest is lacking a little in design, but I think it will be comfy.
You can see in this picture that my roof is beginning to sag a little. I made one fatal error in my house construction. I used a can of soft cupcake frosting as my “cement” and it never set up. I think a batch of royal icing would have been a much better choice in the house construction business. My peep house lasted just long enough to make an afternoon snack for my grandson. Bye, bye birdie.

Once again you've outdone yourself…that is so cute and I think I will try and hunt up the "ingredients" and then if my grandson comes we could make some together. Those are darling for sure!

What a cute idea! I just know my daughter would love to do this! It's like a gingerbread house, only easier.

But Anita you tried, when Morgan was little we made a gingerbread house, and the frosting wouldn't hold and I was getting frustated so I got out the hot glue gun! It stayed for the christmas season………….Andi
