I had already baked bread with my starter twice in the past week, so I decided to use it to make muffins today. Sourdough starter is so versatile, it can be fed and baked with often, or if you don’t want to bake, you can give away or discard the excess starter.
This recipe will make 12 regular size muffins.
Bake for about 20 minutes.
These are good breakfast muffins made with whole wheat flour and not too sweet, but flavored with orange zest and cranberries.
This is great, I'm always looking for recipes to use my starter when I don't feel like making bread. Usually it is pancakes, but it would be nice to change things up every now and again!
These look amazing…I love anything with orange and/or cranberries so I know I would love these.
Have a great Christmas.

Oh yummy, Anita! I have my sour dough starter & I could try these. Merry Christmas!!
What a fun and delicious blog you have. These muffins sound wonderful but I think I will wait until after the holidays to give them a try, they will take all of my concentration to put together and there are just too many distractions right now. I'm following you and I will be back soon.
They look very tasty!
These look delish! Thanks Anita! Not Your Ordinary Agent
