When I saw it I knew I had to make these aprons for Angela and Ginger.
They were the pre-printed panels with instructions, so I knew they wouldn’t take long to put together.
There was a main apron part, a flounce, a pocket, and ties for the neck and waist.
The mother/daughter aprons were as adorable as I had hoped. But, as I was sewing them I was wondering what I could send in the box with the aprons to Charlie. The light bulb finally came on, and I realized that I should make him an apron too, since he also helps with the cookie baking and decorating.
For Charlie I made a plain chef’s apron with a double pocket. The smallest pocket is made of gingerbread fabric that coordinates with the other aprons.

Oh Anita, those are so cute. I saw that fabric at Hobyy Lobby and loved it in the store. Having matching aprons for mom and children will make wonderful pictures of them in the kitchen and they will have life long memories of these special times. How nice you were to even remember your grandson and make him a coordinating apron.
Thanks so much for sharing this at my gingerbread party!

WOW! I just noticed you live in Arkansas…my home state! I was born there and grew up there. Didn't leave until I got married! I still love to visit and wish I was there for the holidays this year! ♥

Hi, visiting from the gingerbread linky party. I started a tradition years ago where my children all come and we do a holiday baking day. It is the hi-lite of our Christmas season. A few years ago I gave them all aprons. Not gingerbread, but they loved them. I'm sure your daughter and grandchildren will love these. You did a great job! So glad Charlie didn't get left out.
