Some of my scarves had been slung around hangers and stuffed in the closet between my coats and jackets.
Others had been stuffed into a small drawer in the back of my closet.
I decided it was time to organize the scarves all in one place. I bought an ordinary curtain rod and a package of shower rings. (I ended up going back for another pack of shower rings because I didn’t realize I had so many scarves!)
One side of my closet is for hanging clothes and the opposite wall is just blank. On this wall I installed the curtain rod and added the shower hooks. So simple.
Now all the scarves are in view, not crushed by clothes and easy to grab from a ring.
It’s good to know that just in case my scarf obsession gets out of hand, now I know how to deal with them. I can install another curtain rod and add some more shower rings.
i've also seen this done by putting several shower rings on a coathanger, so that you can hang multiple scarves from one coathanger. similar concept, just takes less space if you don't have enough closet space to do it the way you've shown here.

great use! i have this on my to do list too! I had them on a shelf & then switched them to over a hanger but not working so moving on to plan c – like your CLEAR shower rings – nice addition! xo
