1. Bacon
2. Cream Cheese
I’ve never been let down by either; they both always come through. Although this recipe contains no bacon, it does contain cream cheese, so one out of the two makes it a sure bet anyway.
Oreo Truffles
1 (16.6 ounce) package Oreo cookies, finely ground
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 (24 ounce) package Almond Bark candy coating
Place the cookies in the bowl of a food processor. Process until finely ground. Add the cream cheese and process until cookies and cream cheese are blended. Place mixture in refrigerator for 1 hour to chill.
Take the dough out of the refrigerator and form into small balls. Place the balls back into the refrigerator.
Melt the Almond Bark in a double boiler. Dip the balls in the melted Almond Bark and place on wax paper until firm.
The ingredients are simple, packaged items.
Add the cream cheese to the ground cookies.
Process until a dough is formed.
Refrigerate dough for 1 hour.
Make the dough into small balls.
Place the balls in the refrigerator. Melt the Almond Bark in a double boiler or the microwave oven according to the directions on the package.
Dip the balls in the melted Almond Bark. I like to use this long fork to dip them.
Place dipped balls on wax paper until firm.
These Oreo Truffles are a perfect little treat.

Hah – I misread the description and I thought you said that the truffles contained bacon, and I thought to myself, that is something new! 🙂 They look delicious 😀
