I love the taste of chocolate and peanut butter together, so for me they make a dangerous combination in these cookies. I sampled them for “scientific” purposes, but I think I’d better give the rest of the batch away before I eat them all by myself. My recipe is adapted from the one that Michelle Laverdiere submitted to All Recipes.
Peanut Butter Chip Chocolate Cookies
Peanut Butter Chip Chocolate Cookies
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all purpose flour
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (10 ounce) bag peanut butter chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease cookie sheet, or to save on clean up time later, line cookie sheet with parchment paper and spray with nonstick cooking spray.
In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Stir in the eggs and vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt; stir into the creamed mixture. Fold in the peanut butter chips. Drop cookies by heaping teaspoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven, until set. Cool on wire racks. Makes 4 dozen.
The parchment paper can be sprayed with nonstick cooking spray.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
If you like chocolate and peanut butter, you will like these cookies.

I am on my way to the kitchen. I don't think I have peanut butter chips but I do have caramel chips.
