Tonight I needed just a simple green side salad to go with our Oven Fried Chicken dinner, so I made this Spring Mix Salad. It is a very tasty salad with the sweetness of mandarin oranges and the added crunch of sunflower seeds, and it is very quick to put together.
Spring Mix Salad
Spring Mix Salad
4 cups mixed spring salad greens, washed and dried
1 (11 ounce) can mandarin oranges, drained
1/2 large red onion, thinly sliced
1/2 tomato, seeded and chopped
1/3 cup sunflower seeds
1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese
In a large bowl, combine the salad greens with the oranges, onion, and tomato; toss together. Add the sunflower seeds and cheddar cheese. Serve with your favorite dressing.
Serve this Spring Mix Salad alongside your favorite meal.
